2010 Ford F-150 Transmission Cooler. Select the correct transmission cooler by determining where there is enough space to mount it. The diagram on the left numbers the best three positions to mount the transmission cooler in order. Transmission coolers are more efficient when they receive maximum air. Fixed the known TSB on my 2010 F150 6R80 transmission. The factory OEM connector will leak ATF along the back end of the transmission and on to the engine exhaust piping which will give off the burnt oil smell when one is idling. 2010 Ford F-150 6 speed auto transmission shifts hard and shudders when shifting between 1st and second and downshifting between 2nd and 1st. Often times so hard it chips the tires. On wet roads this will cause you to lose control. Transmission also shutter at 30 mph. Ford claims this is normal operation of this transmission.
